2003 - 2013
It started in 1993, when the founding pastor Dr. Jamie W. Kim began New Covenant Fellowship Church in a warehouse with an
incredible vision to raise true disciples of Jesus. After a rapid growth in members, the church moved to their newly built church
building in 2001. NCFC started its Christian school in 2003, Covenant Christian School under the leadership of the first principal
Dr. Hei-jung Kim. The school was formed with a simple purpose to provide an excellent Christ-centered education to the families
of our community. The school rapidly grew during these 10 years revealing God's blessings on this school.
2013 - Today
During the summer of 2013, the school's name was changed to “Fellowship Christian School” and the principal was replaced by
Pastor Grace Kim, who was serving as a preschool lead teacher and as the church's children pastor. Beginning that fall of 2013,
FCS began its new elementary program by adding Kindergarten. Each year since, a new elementary grade has been added. In
2016, the church and school board decided to give more intentional support and attention to the K-5th elementary program. As
FCS continues to grow by the grace of God, more and more families are choosing Fellowship Christian School for their child's
wholesome Christ-centered education.
History in the Making
The school’s board of directors and faculty are very passionate about fulfilling our vision to raise and train well-equipped leaders
with a biblical worldview to courageously persevere through the tides of cultural and worldly changes. FCS is a ministry of NCFC
and therefore is committed to fulfill the church's mission statement to "make disciples of all nations". The expected outcomes of
FCS students is to help students to know and follow Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, develop godly character in obedience to
God's Word, establish a biblically filtered perspective and thinking, and to be equipped with knowledge and skills that prepares
them for adulthood. The education of young children and youth is the greatest battle ground being fought spiritually. FCS will
continue to hold its ground and provide the best Christ-centered education for the next generations to come.
